Director of Fundraising & Communications

Full Time: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday
Salary: £70,000
Location: Hybrid working, home and office based - Amersham, Buckinghamshire (1 - 2 days in the office per week)

The Director of Fundraising and Communications will play a crucial role in realising our ambitious plans as a charity. The postholder will be a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser and marketeer who can work with stakeholders and the team to deliver on our objectives. Importantly, we need someone who is empathetic to the cause, goal-focused and is exceptional at building relationships at all levels.

Online Youth and Family Engagement Coordinator

Full Time: Part - time (20 hours/week)
Contact: 2 Year Fixed Term
Salary: £28,000 pro rata
Location: Hybrid home working available, office based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire

We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Online Youth and Family Engagement Coordinator to join our team and help us deliver life-changing support to families navigating complex, lifelong conditions.

We are a small charity with a big mission: to provide specialist nurses and support services for seriously ill children and their families. From online workshops to emotional support, we ensure every family gets the help they need.

Trusts and Fundraising Officer

Full Time: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday
Salary £27,000 - £30,000
Location: Hybrid working, office based in Amersham, Buckinghamshire

We are looking for a tenacious, methodical, and organised person who can deliver sustainable income growth from trusts. We also need someone who is flexible and can react positively to a post-Coronavirus fundraising world.

The role’s main task is to maximise income from trusts by the creation of high-quality applications and reports to funders, and by providing excellent account management and cross-team collaboration.

Trustee Roles

Chair of Trustees

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity are looking for a Chair of Trustees. The Chair will hold the Board and Executive Team to account for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, mission and vision, providing inclusive leadership to the Board of Trustees, ensuring that each trustee fulfils their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance and advancement of the Charity’s purpose and values.

The Chair will also support the Chief Executive and ensure that the Board functions as a unit and works closely with the entire Executive of the charity to achieve the agreed objectives. They will act as an ambassador of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, in partnership with the Chief Executive.

Trustee

The role of a Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity Trustee is to provide strategic leadership and advice in line with the charity’s strategic plan and objectives.

Trustees are expected to use their knowledge, skills, and experience to ensure that the charity achieves its charitable objectives, represents the interests of all stakeholders, and acts as ambassadors for the charity.

We are particularly interested in applicants who have an understanding of a broad range of income generation, in a medium-sized charity with multi-million-pound budgets.

Volunteer

Volunteers help our organisation to run effectively and efficiently. We currently have a number of volunteers who work in virtual office based roles supporting with data, mailings, research and events. We have voluntary roles in fundraising, programmes, communications and finance. If you are interested in joining Team Marvellous and using your time to help seriously ill children, then please do get in touch.
