Roald Dahl Charitable Trust

Both Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity and our sister Charity, the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, are generously supported by the Dahl family, who donate 10% of author royalties via the Roald Dahl Charitable Trust to be shared between the two charities.

Burdett Trust for Nursing

The Burdett Trust for Nursing and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity have become partners to create the ‘Different Disciplines, Common Experience' programme. Supported through a grant from the Burdett Trust for Nursing, the programme makes awards to nurses in the UK to improve the quality of patient care for children with neurological and haematological conditions and to increase leadership skills for nurses.

Read for Good/Readathon

Roald Dahl was passionate about children reading for pleasure, that's why he was Chairman of Readathon until 1990.

Readathon is the UK's national sponsored reading event which, as well as getting children reading, raises money for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

Schools which run Readathon get free books for their school, inspiring even more children to discover their own love of reading.
